Kyle & Kate Wedding : Film

Uncategorized

He promised to be her constant, her forever. She thanked him for always staying by her side, and always being there for her, even when things were uncertain through life’s many changes. Mikael + Laura’s wedding took place at Mikael’s family farm, the exact place where his parents said their vows many year before. The anticipation throughout the day, the nerves, smiles, and tears. It was all wrapped up into one of the most beautiful weddings and couples we have ever seen!

We loved every detail of this wedding. And every detail was done by a family member or close friend. No detail was left unnoticed. The most important being Mikael + Laura’s personal vows to each other. I couldn’t keep a dry eye as I heard these two promise themselves to each other. To love better and forever!

Enjoy a few favorites from this gorgeous fall wedding!-J

Crazy in Love: Mikael + Laura

Weddings
There we were sitting on the bench in front of the magazine section at Barnes & Noble. Specifically we were in front of the home & design section. Cory with his soy chai. (I know, surprising it wasn’t coffee)  We picked a few magazine’s and looked through them, pointing to which kitchens, bathrooms, and homes we loved the best. Envisioning which kitchen we would pick, or how we would design our house. Of course you can’t forget the french doors that open up to a beautiful veranda overlooking the ocean.
It was right then and there that I had a realization, amongst all the Coastal Living Magazines, I think I fell in love with New England.  You know, the charming Cape Cod home, tall windows and a mint green door with white trim. I daydreamed that in the morning I would walk out on our veranda with a warm cup of coffee and there would be Cory sitting on our Restoration Hardware outdoor furniture reading his USA Today (his newspaper of choice). That is where I feel as though I belong.
Cory and I have had the priviledge to travel often, and in our short time being married we have left the country 7 times and have been to 7 countries. We have traveled various parts of the US, but no place has ever felt or seemed right.  What I mean by that, is Cory and I have often talked about moving somewhere, specifically to the coast somewhere. But nothing has ever felt right. We love Charleston, the Gulf Coast of Florida, the beautiful and temperate San Diego weather. Yet, no place has felt like it could be home. I know ultimately no place will ever “feel” just right, as I am not called to be on this earth forever and my real home is in Heaven.
But, for the first time, particulary since the time we went to Maine and stayed in a gorgeous bed & breakfast overlooking the harbor. I continuously feel as though I could actually envision myself living somewhere along the upper East Coast/New England. Maybe Boston or Rhode Island (I am too city girl to live to far away from the amenties and conveniences of the city). But I also love the idea of being able to ‘get away’ from the city and retreat to the ocean. The one place where I am immediately humbled at how big and powerful God is and how small I am.
I can’t leave out Cory’s dream sailboat, our ‘future’ golden retriever, and our favorite pair of Sperry’s. Of course this is all dreaming. But dreaming is free, and you never know when it might become a reality. 😉
So I say dream and dream big. Because you never know when it could come true. -J
PS. If you could live anywhere…where would it be?
